Work in Progress...Students will be assigned homework in math nearly every day. Students are responsible for bringing their math book and math notebook home each evening and returning it to school the next day. The homework is only any unfinished classroom work. If the math book is left at school a link to the math text book can be found here. Your child will know their log-in information. If they do not know it please let me know and I will ensure they have written it in their daily planner.
Additionally each evening students should:
~ read for 30 minutes (book of choice from home or the library)
~ practice addition, subtraction, and/or multiplication facts for 10 minutes
~ practice spelling words
Family time is important to children and adults. Please ensure that you are spending time with your family each evening doing something other than homework. If My expectation is that students will complete their math assignments daily. Consequences are in place when homework is incomplete for 2 or more days. Students are expected to be fluent with addition and subtraction facts and multiplication facts by the middle to late part of the school year. Fluent is 80 out of 100 facts correct within 5 minutes. Please see your child's math fact section in their binder for the latest quiz score.
